REGION 11 "BEST OF THE WEST" RALLY NEW MEXICO BALLOON FIESTA
STATE FAIR GROUNDS "EXPO NEW MEXICO", ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO
A remark often heard is "been there, done that" usually denoting that just one experience is quite enough. That phrase does not apply to the New Mexico Balloon Fiesta. Once is not enough to absorb all the balloon launches, colors, shapes, designs and excitement that happens all around you. Understand that you are not on the 50 yard line or end zone or in court-side seats watching from a distance. Instead you are on the field helping to assemble, if you wish, unfolding, cold inflating, hot inflating, and launching balloons. You walk among the lines of inflating balloons as they lift off sequentially row after row in precise time frames. It is breathtaking as the balloons lift off right next to you and all around you until 750 huge hot air balloons are airborne. Expect to exhaust your film supply as you snap images in vibrant colors, familiar shapes and unbelievable symbols or icons. Besides balloons enjoy the other sights and sounds of Albuquerque and surrounding areas including Santa Fe, the Turquoise Trail, museums, casinos, tours, and many other attractions. Set your schedule now for great back-to-back rallies in Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. For more information contact Chester Haughawaut at (505) 749-2077.
START: 10/05/2007 END: 10/09/2007
